Overview
The Master of Educational Leadership and Management program is designed to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge needed for leadership positions within educational institutions. The program focuses on developing leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, alongside a comprehensive understanding of educational policies and practices. Students will gain expertise in effectively managing and leading schools, colleges, universities, and other educational organizations. Graduates are well-prepared to assume leadership roles such as principals, superintendents, academic deans, and education consultants, among others.
We align this programme qualification’s to the level descriptors of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate a critical understanding of the complex factors that influence organizational leadership and management.
- Develop a deeper awareness of the leadership challenges associated with career growth and advanced leadership roles and acquire the capabilities to address these challenges.
- Gain a strong understanding of the factors that impact policy development and implementation within the educational sector.
- Showcase a clear appreciation of current issues in leadership and management at international, national, and organizational levels through debates, discussions, and research.
Admission Requirements
General Entry
- A related Bachelor’s degree OR
- A related Graduate Diploma at Level 8
General Entry
- 25 years old, completion of a related Level 5 qualification, and 7 years of relevant experience (of which 3.5 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 5 qualification), and completion of a Pre-Master’s Program. OR
- 25 years old, completion of a related Level 6 qualification, and 6 years of relevant experience (of which 3 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 6 qualification), and completion of a Pre-Master’s Program
