Overview
The Master of Construction Management (MCM) programme is designed to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage construction organisations and operations. With a focus on sustainable and profitable business practices, the programme covers essential aspects of the construction industry, including project management, health and safety, risk mitigation, regulations, strategic management, marketing, and financial and human resource management.
The curriculum consists of eight compulsory taught modules, each offering in-depth exploration of critical topics in construction management. The programme culminates in a Final Project (WB) (FPJ909), where students apply their learning to a specific topic of relevance to the construction field. By completing this programme, graduates will be prepared to take on leadership roles in the construction industry, managing complex projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, and contributing to the overall success of construction ventures.
We align this programme qualification’s to the level descriptors of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

- Apply knowledge and skills in self-management, communication and teamwork activity in responding to the complexities and challenges of construction industry.
Admission Requirements
General Entry
- A related Bachelor‟s Degree OR
- A related Graduate Diploma at Level 8
General Entry
- 25 years old, completion of a related Level 5 qualification, and 7 years of relevant experience (of which 3.5 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 5 qualification), and completion of a Pre-Master‟s Program. OR
- 25 years old, completion of a related Level 6 qualification, and 6 years of relevant experience (of which 3 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 6 qualification), and completion of a Pre-Master‟s Program
