Overview
The Diploma in Auditing and Fraud Investigations is the first year of the Bachelor of Auditing and Fraud Investigations programme offered by Avid College. The aim of this programme is to enhance the capacity of Maldivians in the field of auditing, with a particular focus on understanding and investigating fraud. Students will gain comprehensive knowledge and skills to become auditing professionals, while also developing the expertise to investigate accounting and finance fraud. Upon successful completion of this first year, students will be awarded a Diploma in Auditing and Fraud Investigations.
We align this programme qualification’s to the level descriptors of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
Learning Outcomes
- Understand fraud in auditing
- Demonstrate an understanding of auditors and employees for fraud risk management
- Demonstrate an ability to learn and apply fraud theories to various business environments.
- Demonstrate sound competence of auditing, including planning, execution and reporting
Admission Requirements
General Entry
- Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education OR
- Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field OR
- Attainment of a Level 4 Foundation Study Program approved for the specific Diploma program.
General Entry
- Completion of a Level 4 qualification (unrelated), and successful completion of a University Preparation Program OR
- 20 years old, completion of secondary school, 2 years of relevant work experience, and successful completion of a University Preparation Program
