The Bachelor of Shariah and Law program combines an extensive legal education with a thorough understanding of Islamic principles. Designed for future legal professionals in the Maldives, this program provides students with essential knowledge in civil, criminal, and international law, while also offering a deep understanding of Islamic law. This well-rounded curriculum ensures that graduates are equipped to excel as skilled lawyers, integrating the values of Shariah into their legal expertise.
We align this programme qualification’s to the level descriptors of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

Admission Requirements
General Entry
- Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education OR
- Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field OR
- Attainment of a Level 4 Foundation Study Program approved for the specific Diploma program.
General Entry
- Completion of a Level 4 qualification (unrelated), and successful completion of a approved University Preparation Program OR
- 20 years old, completion of secondary school, 2 years of relevant work experience, and successful completion of a approved University Preparation Program
