Overview
The Bachelor of Business in Aviation programme is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge and skills needed for key roles in the travel, tourism, and aviation industries. It prepares students to become competent travel professionals, capable of advising on diverse travel needs. Upon completing the three-year programme, students will receive a Bachelor of Business in Aviation certificate. Those who finish the first year can exit with a Diploma, while completing the first two years allows students to exit with an Associate Degree.
This qualification is aligned with the level descriptors of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
Learning Outcomes
- To have a clear and comprehensive understanding of aviation business and its operational environment, such as airports, airlines, cargo, safety, and regulations,
- Learn the fundamental of aviation management, its applications and be highly proficient in airline business management technology
- Demonstrate a broad core of business knowledge and be able to integrate and apply this knowledge to business situations requiring interdisciplinary and global perspectives
- Provide hands on experience on most widely used computerized reservation system (CRS) for air ticketing and hotel reservation
Admission Requirements
General Entry
- Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education OR
- Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field OR
- Attainment of a Level 4 Foundation Study Program approved for the specific Diploma program.
General Entry
- Completion of a Level 4 qualification (unrelated), and successful completion of a University Preparation Program OR
- 20 years old, completion of secondary school, 2 years of relevant work experience, and successful completion of a University Preparation Program
